Flooring questions, answered
Can I sort carpet and hard flooring in one appointment?
Yes — that's the point of us. We bring carpet, vinyl, LVT and laminate samples on the same visit, so you can plan the lounge, kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms together and get one quote for the lot.
What goes where — carpet or a hard floor?
As a rule of thumb, carpet for bedrooms, stairs and lounges where you want warmth, and vinyl or LVT for kitchens, bathrooms and utility rooms where spills happen. Laminate suits hallways, dining rooms and open-plan living areas. We'll talk it through room by room.
Will the floors line up where carpet meets laminate or vinyl?
We finish every change of floor with a door plate or threshold so the join is neat and nothing catches underfoot. If the heights are very different, we'll plan for that during the measure.
Do you come out to Normanton and Kippax as well as Castleford?
Yes. Our home showroom covers Castleford and the villages around it, including Normanton, Altofts, Methley, Allerton Bywater and Kippax. If you're nearby and not sure, ring and ask.
Can I spread the cost?
No, we don't offer finance. We keep prices low instead, and we take card or cash.
Do you fit laminate on a concrete floor?
Yes, as long as the floor is sound and level. Where it isn't, we can screed it first. We'll check the subfloor on the visit and include any preparation in the quote.
